One of the newest cultivators recently approved by the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission, River Valley Relief, anticipates operating in the next four to six months.
Owner, Storm Nolan, and his brother plan to open their facility on the southside of Fort Smith and employ approximately 100 workers. Nolan has been a supporter and an advocate for medical marijuana after his mother, unfortunately, lost her fight with opiate addiction after a dental procedure. He believes that if she had had access to medical marijuana, she would still be with them today.
With the opening of River Valley Relief, Nolan hopes that by providing more supply paired with the increasing demand, the price of medical marijuana products for Arkansas patients will come down. He plans to distribute his products to dispensaries across the state, including the areas of Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Bentonville and Little Rock.
Currently, there are three cultivators operating in Arkansas: The BOLD Team, Osage Creek, and Natural State Medicinals. With eight cultivation licenses now approved and four additional dispensary licenses awarded, the Arkansas medical marijuana program can expect to see more growth.
