The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission has awarded additional medical marijuana cultivation and dispensary licenses following a meeting on Tuesday.
Shortly after approving a sixth cultivator, Carpenter Farms Medical Group, the commission has decided to award the two remaining cultivation licenses. Arkansas now has a total of eight cultivators throughout the state, but only three are currently operating. The two new cultivators are New Day Cultivation which will be located in Garland County and River Valley Relief in Sebastian County.
In a 4-1 vote, the commission also approved four additional dispensary licenses. The new facilities will be located in the following cities:
Natural Root Wellness in Fayetteville
Native Green Wellness in Little Rock
MissCo Cannabis Dispensary in Osceola
Green Cross Cannabis in Highland
There are currently 22 dispensaries operating across Arkansas. In order to access dispensaries, patients must have their Arkansas medical marijuana card.
