The Arkansas Department of Health has approved temporary changes to the medical marijuana program due to the continuation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The Department of Health has approved a new guideline that provides an extension for medical marijuana patient and caregiver expiration dates as their cards will not expire during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Medical marijuana evaluations through telemedicine will now temporarily be allowed as well. This will enable patients to meet virtually with a doctor and receive their certification for medical marijuana treatment in order to reduce exposure and maintain social distancing practices.
